At Firefly Arts Dance Studio, we seek to bring glory to God by training students in multi-disciplinary dance arts with an eye on building godly character, relationships, and artistic and athletic skill so that they might shine as lights in the world.
Firefly Director, Ashley Lin
Firefly Arts Dance Studio was founded by Ashley Lin in 2023. Ashley is wife to Wayne Lin, and homeschooling mom of Gideon, Providence, Simeon, and Malachi. Ashley has been dancing since she was four years old. She spent sixteen years teaching competitive dance in Oklahoma before Firefly. Firefly was born out of Ashley's desire to provide a Christian atmosphere for her children to learn dance, as well as reaching out to the children in the community about the value of a Christian approach to dance. Ashley loves dance and loves teaching!
Ashley is active in her church community, and co-directs a small homeschool co-op. She loves combining her passions to serve the community and create art to glorify the Lord!

Guest Teacher, Elizabeth Basham
Elizabeth Basham studied ballet at Stroia Ballet Company and Central Minnesota Music School before continuing her dance education at Belhaven University. While at Belhaven, Ms. Basham studied ballet, pointe, and modern dance under distinguished artists and teachers. After graduation, Ms. Basham taught at the Central MN Music School (present day Wirth Center) before moving to the Houston area in 2015. Ms. Basham ran her own Christian ballet studio from 2019-2023, coordinating multiple classes and showcases. She currently teaches and choreographs as a freelance artist in the Houston area. Ms. Basham loves the physical challenge and artistic outlet that dance provides, all while proclaiming the glory of our great God.
